Back in the Brazilian savanna!

oxfordecosystems

Here are some heart-warming pictures sent from Imma, who after two years of forced absence due to Covid, is back in the Cerrado, the largest savanna region in South America, for some field work.

Imma arriving at the airport.

Imma’s research focuses on vulnerability and resilience of ecosystems to global change. The pictures below show how some trees are thriving with new life after a forest fire.

Stay safe Imma and we look forward to hearing more about your field trip soon.
